Stu and Gareth met on Goodreads, where they initially gave feedback and critique of each other's solo projects. Stu's debut work was a trilogy of faith-based, gritty thrillers called the Action of Purpose series. Gareth's trilogy was an action-packed new take on accepted history, Children of the Fifth Sun. Then, one day, Gareth had a wild hair for a book idea to explore the 'God-shaped hole' -- the void where science stops having answers. He needed Stu to balance the narrative.
Stu said no.
For a year.
And then, slowly, he came around to the notion.
What resulted was bottled lightning. Nearly a decade later, they are the best of friends and writing partners. By current social standards, they should sit on very opposite sides of the aisle, but through mutual respect for each other's point of view,
and a healthy love of 80s sci-fi movies, they have forged something special.
Both Stu and Gareth are represented by Gandolfo Helin Fountain Literary Agency, NYC, USA.
